- Slit each potato length-wise on the long axis
- Microwave each potato for 5 - 8 minutes, or until 95%+ done (squeeze the sides of the potato and they should be pretty soft)
- Do not use any foil on the potatoes
- Put each potato on the bottom rack, slit side down, of the cold gas grill and start the grill for pre-heating
- After about 4 - 5 minutes, move the potatoes to the top rack, slit side up
- After about 10 minutes, rotate the potato horizontally, keeping the slit side up
- Cook an additional 10 minutes or so, and then potatoes should be fully cooked, with a crisp outer skin
