Baked potato

  1. Slit each potato length-wise on the long axis
  2. Microwave each potato for 5 - 8 minutes, or until 95%+ done (squeeze the sides of the potato and they should be pretty soft)
  3. Do not use any foil on the potatoes
  4. Put each potato on the bottom rack, slit side down, of the cold gas grill and start the grill for pre-heating
  5. After about 4 - 5 minutes, move the potatoes to the top rack, slit side up
  6. After about 10 minutes, rotate the potato horizontally, keeping the slit side up
  7. Cook an additional 10 minutes or so, and then potatoes should be fully cooked, with a crisp outer skin
